Friendly-Faced Vipers

They pull you in with their words from sweet tongues
They lower your guard with times of laughter and fun

Do not fall into their charm and allure
For their poison there is no human cure

They share enough of themselves to gain your trust
But keeping your guard against their deceit is a must

Beware the friendly-faced vipers
The friends that prove to be liars
Know their words are poison to you
Real friends are truly the few

Give them not a chance to strike at your fragile heart
For it is your life they will surely try to tear apart

They will strike where you are weakest regardless of the cost
For their conscious is empty and their souls are lost

All of your family and friends are fair for their games
These vipers are quick to point at you and cast blame

Beware the friendly-faced vipers
The friends that prove to be liars
Know their words are poison to you
Real friends are truly the few

We all know a friendly-faced viper or maybe a few
Being honest with yourself that viper could be you

They are those that spread lies and rumors about others
No matter the harm to children, fathers and mothers

Surely they will give account one day for their harm
Until that day keep yourself and family well armed

Beware the friendly-faced vipers
The friends that prove to be liars
Know their words are poison to you
Real friends are truly the few

Now That You’ve Gone Away

Take a drink to kill the pain
Don’t know when I’ll be back again

Behind cold bars, I feel the scars
Threw away what was once ours

Too late now, your silence kills
Numbing the pain with more pills

I’m sorry is just empty words
I killed your love with booze and girls

You held on tight, I ran away
I didn’t think you would slip away

I woke up late to find you gone
Now I sit in jail all alone

Hindsight’s clear, so they say
Empty now that you’ve gone away

Stare at the blocks, remember the time
We were in love, you were mine

We had it all, remember the fall?
Why wont you take my fucking call?

I swear I’ve changed, I’ll shoulder the blame
No more running around and childish games

Unconditional Love

True, unconditional love is not a feeling as in it can be changed on a whim whenever it’s target is deemed unworthy for whatever reason. No, true, unconditional love is a decision. It is a choice one makes to sacrifice a part of themselves – a part of their soul – to another being, regardless of that being’s worthiness or behavior.

When I say, “I love you” I mean I love you unconditionally. And no matter what, you cannot change the fact that I love you. We may make mistakes; we may hurt each other; we may betray each other’s trust; and we may grow to dislike each other. But, I will always love you because I made a conscious choice to give you a part of my soul and love you unconditionally.

True love is unconditional. True love is forever.
