TwakeUp! Breast Cancer Effects Us All!

Whether it’s your mother, sister, daughter, wife, friend or colleague, chances are, you already know someone who has been affected by this disease. The fact is, though, that this is a treatable disease, and many who have it, go on to live long, fruitful and enjoyable lives. However, that isn’t possible without continued research and support. I’m reaching out today to help raise awareness for breast cancer research, but I’m also here to open some eyes.

Did you know that Breast Cancer affects MEN TOO! Yes, absolutely! Men can have breast cancer! Why is this not more commonly known? Why is it that the words “Breast Cancer” always imply a woman’s health. It doesn’t! While Breast Cancer is far more common in women than men, the fact is, men can have Breast Cancer too!

I have been fortunate enough to have known some Breast Cancer survivors in my life and the courage that these people showed through their treatment and recovery was nothing short of inspirational. My family also has a long history of Cancer survivors and victims. As with ALL forms of Cancer, this is a matter close to my heart. No pun intended.

If you do nothing else for yourself and your fellow people today, do this. Share the resources listed bellow along with anything else you know of that educates about this disease. Take just a few moments out of your day to either donate to legitimate Breast Cancer causes, to share your own experiences, to spread social awareness and to give back to the greater good of our world.

You never know, one day, that good you put out there, may need to come back to you for Cancer treatment. Food for thought. Contemplate it well.

    I never thought of breast cancer affecting men. Women specially single are affected by this desease. The other reproductive organs must be cheked, they might be affected.

    It seems that nowadays everyone knows at least one person affected by breast cancer.

    Whenever I see donation or charity walks for breast cancer, I always participate.

    I was quite surprised to note that men too could have breast cancer. The percentage must be low, I presume. I know the highest proportion of men suffer from testicular cancer.

    very good article. this post makes me realize the breast cancer very harm, and i think the breast cancer only effect by women, but a man be affect the breast cancer too.

    I have heard some stories of breast cancer survivors and I felt pity on them and felt lucky for myself that I was not in there position. Thanks for the article. This makes me more aware of the disease.

    i always thought that the biggest cancer men should pay attention is prostate cancer, I never thought of breast cancer affecting men before, thanks for the sharing

    if i had breast cancer then i wouldnt have to do pecks exercises. And if i was agirl it would make my breasts bigger. Win-win.
