Bountiful Buffet of Bookmarks
I’ve been wickedly busy lately being a family man, contributing to a couple open source projects (more on that later), building up my blogging presence, building 3 sites, and a few other side projects. As a result, I haven’t had time to read over everything interesting that catches my eye. This evening, I intended to go back through some of those bookmarked sites and blog posts and either comment on them or blog about them. After looking at the volume of bookmarks I haven’t had a chance to go through yet, I realized that I wouldn’t be getting very far with them anytime soon.
Instead, I’m posting them here. Consider it an, “In case you missed it”. Or, if you prefer, speed linking on steroids. So, here you go. 387 Bookmarks (most of which are blog posts) that I haven’t had time to thoroughly go through, but thought were worthwhile enough to bookmark. Bone Appetite!

- Seth Godin Interview – What’s a Meatball Sundae? [SearchEngineWatch] – In my latest interview, I sat down again with Seth Godin to talk about his upcoming keynote speech at SES Chicago on Tuesday December 4th. The session focuses on his new book, Meatball Sundae, and focuses on the confusing nature of today’s marketing opportunities. Seth spoke about the nature of the problem previously in a pre-show webinar. You can see coverage for the webinar from Lisa Barone, Kevin Newcomb, and yours truly. One of the major components of the discussion that was particularly interesting to me was a discussion about SEO. Seth had offered some criticism of SEO in the…
- SEO Is Not a One-Time Event [SearchEngineWatch] – Too often, companies “approve” SEO only to treat it as a one-time hit, or a short-term project. Months or years later, when they asked someone else to “do” SEO for them, it is discovered that the company had laid none of the basic foundation for SEO, and it is clear that even the implementation was done incorrectly. Unfortunately, no follow-up or long-term measurement plan is in place that would catch this. In today’s SearchDay, “SEO Expectations and Commitments,” Steve Haar offers some guidelines for those who approve SEO to know what to expect, and what’s expected of them….

You know, that could be almost a year’s worth of blog post topics. What’s even crazier is that list was built over the last 30 days (roughly).
Thanks for including my article. Nice work!
This is quite a list! It is cool to see that we read the same blogs (more or less). However, there are items in your list that will go on my reading list.
Thanks for linking to my group project. Voting is still open until December 15th, so you are all invited to cast your votes.

Thanks James!
I wonder what took longer , me reading all those links or you writing them and posting them.

Good work
Thanks for including my article, and thanks for taking the time to compile this list. I won’t have time to read all of them, but I’ll definitely scan through and read a few. Great job!
That is some list, thanks for including 2 of mine in there.
Thank you all for taking the time to write up excellent posts that are all worth reading and bookmarking!

As you can imagine, my Feed reader is now crammed full of great blogs to read. Thanks to you all, I never run out of good reading material.
How on earth did I get to be #14 and #353? LOL
Good way to get people to the blog huh.
Perhaps a bit of an extreme example, but yes, you are correct. Linking out to related resources and to specific posts, thus gaining trackbacks, is an excellent way to build backlinks and increase readership.
Now, if I had more time available, I would have broken this list down into several smaller posts that focused on tight subject groupings and would have posted about them individually. That would have made the linkbait a bit more effective for everyone involved.
Nice Bookmarks and thanks for bookmarked some of the posts of mine.
My pleasure!
Great list and thanks for the inclusion
Thanks for the link love… that’s quite an effort you made there… nice job.
