March 7th!!! That was the last time I posted here. Wow! I’m slippin’!

Honestly, I’ve just been insanely busy with work and volunteering. Some of what I’ve been up to is several jobs for my “day job” at Absolute Webdesigns (not on the portfolio pages yet – thats all my predecessor’s work so far.). Beyond that, I’ve been really tied up with the server migration for the XOOPS Project. I’m still not finished as the sites still need to be moved, but that’s getting closer every day.

On a more personal note, I’ve been dealing with the custody issue over my nephew. That’s a whole episode of “Jerry Springer” in and of itself! Fortunately, my nephew is with me and my wife at this point, so he is safe and well cared for.

That’s really the bulk of what has been going on. Basically, wake up, work, spend time with wife and nephew, sleep…. repeat.

Occasionally, I get to do some cool stuff. The weekend of May 19, I got to take my nephew to his very first car show (he’s 4 1/2). That was really cool. He fell in love with a classic Chevelle. That’s my boy!

This Memorial Day weekend, we grilled out and spent time with family. It was a much needed break from the day-to-day routine I’ve been in for a few months now.

OH! And we’ve been teaching my nephew how to ride a bicycle! That’s been a LOT of fun. Little Tasmanian devil! He’s just like me. He wants to go faster than he can handle. He’s had a couple minor crashes, but nothing bad. It’s been a real joy watching him grow. He is the the greatest joy in my life and I’m greatfull he is with us.

Other than that, it’s been business as usual. Yeah, boring to some, but to this ex-bad boy turned Geek, I’m loving it!
